Support Arts Education in Napa County
19th Annual Bill Dodd Holiday Party
December 3, 2018 | Silverado Resort + Spa
For nearly two decades, community members and local businesses like you have helped me generate $1.7 million for worthy local charities and community projects through my annual Holiday Party & Golf Tournament. This year, I’m proud to have chosen two local nonprofits, Arts Council Napa Valley & Napa Valley Education Foundation, as co-beneficiaries. 100 percent of the net proceeds from this event will support their work in promoting equitable and vibrant arts and education for the community.
As a father of five and grandfather to seven (with two more on the way!), I strongly believe in fostering creative pursuits because of the benefit to the mental, emotional and social development of our youth. Whether through music, drama, visual arts, digital media, or dance - active engagement in the arts is something every student should have equitable opportunity to in their education.
This year’s beneficiaries have a five year history of partnership through the ACNV Education Alliance, an initiative to support arts education for all 20,000 TK-12th grade students in Napa County public schools. As two of the founding partners in the ACNV Education Alliance, these organizations share a mission to inspire the voice and creative mind within every student. Working collaboratively with funders, educators, and community stakeholders, they advocate and provide critical support for equitable access high quality arts instruction for all our youth. Like me, they believe the arts engage and connect students with each other, their schools, and their community and are integral to learning 21st century skills.
We are grateful for your interest in supporting our youth. Let’s all work together for them!
